Hey, it's St. Patrick's Day month!!!
Play an Irish Jig like "The Irish Washerwoman".
Traditionally the tune is played in G major (although it could be played in any one of twelve keys) with the time signature of 6/8.
6/8 time has 6 beats per measure with the eighth note receiving one beat. 6/8 has a pulse of two, with a triplet feel. You play three notes to every pulse.
You're playing three against one with a two feel.
This particular transcription has an A and B sections with first and second endings for each.
The Irish Jigs are traditionally played with a bright tempo.
Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!
