The Traditional Melodic Minor scale is like two different in one.
In relation to the Natural Minor Scale the Traditional Minor Scale has a raised 6th and 7th degree ascending and a natural 6th and 7th degree descending.
For example, the A Traditional Melodic Minor Scale is A, B, C, D, E, F#, G#, A, G, F, E, D, C, B, A
Continuing through the remaining eleven Traditional Melodic Minor Scales:
